LED light therapy is a non invasive and painless treatment safe for all ages, from children to the elderly. A completely natural way of healing without the use of harmful UVA or UVB rays. Recommended for Post surgery and plastic surgery, Radiation therapy burns, Injury. This treatment is safe to begin from the day after surgery, and if applied in the first 2-3wks post surgery it has been shown to significantly reduce healing time by half. It combines Red, Pink, Yellow, Green light spectrum as well as Infra Red. Together they are a powerful therapeutic strategy to reduce swelling & inflammation, speed up wound healing and provide pain relief. The Red (630nm) wavelength acts on the cells known as fibroblasts which play a role in the production of collagen, a protein that makes up a large part of connective tissue and helps the skin heal when injured. When applied to the skin, the light emits a warm and soothing light energy which the epidermis absorbs, and in turn stimulates collagen and elastin production which encourages flatter scar healing, increased blood circulation and oxygenation of the cells thus reducing healing time. Green (520nm) wavelength has the effect of stabilising and relaxing nerves, and has an analgesic and calming effect on sensory nerves. Pink (630 + 415nm) wavelength reduces redness, increases collagen production & anti inflammatory Yellow(630 + 520nm) Accelerates wound healing, reduces pain & inflammation. Recommended treatment 3-4x weekly for 4weeks and then re-evaluating. This is an intense 25min PDT.
